What is JITC?

The Joint Interoperability Test Command (JITC) a part of the United States Department of Defense. It provides risk-based Test Evaluation & Certification services, tools, and environments to ensure Joint Warfighting IT capabilities are interoperable and support mission needs. The primary function of the JITC is to test, evaluate, and certify information technology systems, services, and capabilities to ensure they meet security and interoperability standards and can effectively operate in unison across the branches of the military and with allied forces.

JITC's role encompasses a wide range of activities, including:

• Developing and conducting rigorous interoperability test plans, procedures, and methodologies.
• Certifying that systems meet the requirements to operate effectively within the larger DoD network.
• Providing support for deployed systems and networks to ensure ongoing interoperability and performance.
